Big stage for Artidis04.04.2019
More than 650 members from the Swiss and European Biotech ecosystem gather an 7 May for the Swiss Biotech Day. Among the presenting startups is Artidis with its nanotechnology platform.
The Swiss Biotech Day (SBD) attracts every year entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, analysts, BD&L-people of big pharma companies and political decision-makers. The upcominig SBD offers various opportunities to discover new trends in the industry through keynotes - this year by Jean-Paul Clozel, Idorsia, and Patrick Aebischer, former EPFL president – and thematically focused panel discussions on topics such as finance, production and licensing.
For startups the SBC is an ideal platform. The organizing committee has selected nine startups to present before the audience. One of them is Artidis a nanotech spin-off from the University of Basel.
The name stands for «Automated Reliable Tissue Diagnostics», an innovative, nanomechanical diagnostic tool that evaluates tissue samples from biopsies in less than three hours. The platform is based on an atomic force microscope that uses a fine, nanometer-scale probe to determine the nanomechanical properties of cells and the extracellular matrix.
The detailed program is available on the SBD website. Registration is still open.
