MassChallenge Switzerland Cohort 2021 on the starting blocks
19.05.202197 early-stage startups will join the MassChallenge Switzerland 2021 Accelerator Program. Among the 19 Swiss participants are three nanotech startups: anovo medical, Oxyle and XRnanotech.

For the 2021 program the MassChallenge Switzerland team has designed an online / onsite hybrid accelerator program. The startups come from 31 countries spanning over 4 continents and have the potential to create widespread impact across industries. The Swiss participants include:
High Tech
XRnanotech: Nanoscale X-ray optics allowing to investigate the smallest ever structures with unprecedented image quality
VISENSE: remote error diagnosis solution that gives you real-time insights into industrial production errors
Healthcare / Life Sciences
anavo medical: Nanoparticle paste to boost wound closure, keep bacterial infections in check and tissue alive
Babylat: device for protein enrichment of human milk, with proteins extracted from human milk for preterm babies
Epios: personalized and precision management of brain disorders using daily life monitoring and therapeutics.
miniMarrow (stealth mode)
Parithera: liquid biopsy to isolate more tumour cells circulating in the blood stream enabling precision oncology
Spirecut: surgical instruments for percutaneous treatment. No skin incision, less complications, early return to normal life.
TissueLabs: a platform for creating organs and tissues in the lab. The start-up offers biomaterials, equipment, and services for 3D bioprinting.
VAY: B2B solution training computers to perfectly perceive and predict human motion using just a regular camera to digitize physical therapy, rehab & fitness
Energy / Clean Tech
Oxyle: efficient wastewater treatment with game-changing reactors and nanoporous catalysts that degrade >90% of toxic & persistent pollutants from effluents
Cyltronic: world's first electric cylinder for the direct replacement of standard based pneumatic cylinders
Heatneutral producing worlds most efficient, cost effective and scalable heating system for homes and industry and supplying CO2 neutral fuels
SmartHelio: IoT sensor for solar panels helping to generate more clean energy and prevent e-waste
UNISERS: detecting the invisible defect sources during the manufacturing of computer chips and enables financial benefits of $2b-20b/year.
Social Impact
Plastogaz: Plastogaz develops plastic valorization technologies centered on catalysis helping customers to switch from a linear to a circular economy.
Accelerator leads towards MassChallenge Switzerland Awards
During the 4 months of acceleration, the selected 97 startups will be able to engage with industry experts, corporates and investors, while receiving world-class mentoring, tailored programming, free co-working space and numerous key networking opportunities. The accelerator program will culminate on October 28th at the MassChallenge Switzerland Awards Ceremony, when the best startups will be rewarded with up to CHF 1 million in zero-equity prize money, as well as several other in-kind prizes.
