In addition to process engineering, the company also collaborates with organizations on material development, patent management, and licensing.

The company produces components across industries using custom formulations such as Basic Grade, Coffee Grade, Food Grade, Paper Grade, and Fire Grade for products including Scoops/measuring spoons, Sock hangers and Belt hangers. Since incorporation, the company has attracted ten customers, including large organizations in Switzerland and the EU and the US such as Swisscom, DillySocks, Google, Coop, Migro, ecco, Noir among others. Last year, FluidSolids provided material and Know-how for the serial production of a component for a luminaire produced by Zumtobel Lighting.

Partnership with Corvaglia

Moving forward, FluidSolids has inked a partnership with corvaglia, a highly specialized provider of innovative closure solutions for beverage packaging and supplies to numerous renowned beverage manufacturers worldwide. Today, around 20 percent of all PET bottles for soft drinks worldwide are equipped with corvaglia closures. This partnership aims to promote the production and marketing of products made from natural, fiber-based materials internationally.

As part of their partnership, corvaglia will be responsible for international operations, bringing comprehensive expertise in development, mold making, injection molding production, and the industrial application of closure systems. FluidSolids contributes expertise and patents in the development and production of high-performance materials to substitute conventional plastics, certification & compliance. The combination of patented material technology and leading injection molding technology consolidates unique know-how into a one-stop offering. This supports customers worldwide in achieving their sustainability targets through an expanded range of materials and technologies. The companies will jointly be responsible for business and market development.

Licensing FluidSolids’ proprietary material technology enables corvaglia to tap into new markets, offer even more sustainable solutions for existing product categories, and further expand its value chain through material production. On the other hand, FluidSolids can roll out its patented technology internationally thanks to the partnership with corvaglia, expanding both its supply capabilities and technical support.
