The UpQuantVal Consortium and NCCR SPIN are organizing two events at the Department of Physics, University of Basel, dedicated to the quantum ecosystem, industry engagement, and current scientific developments in quantum technologies. The Quantum Industry Chat on September 10 will focus on innovation, skills, and industry perspectives, while the UpQuantVal Science Symposium on September 11 will highlight recent research results from the consortium and beyond.
The Quantum Industry Chat is open to industry members, innovators, startups, researchers, policymakers, and anyone interested in how advances in quantum technologies can impact industrial processes across fields such as materials science, chemistry, communication, logistics, and sensing.
This edition will introduce the quantum ecosystem in the Upper Rhine Region and bring together key players from industry, science, innovation, talent development, and policy. The goal is to raise awareness, foster collaboration, and explore the opportunities that quantum technologies can offer to industry.
The Quantum Industry Chat will bring together industry representatives, policymakers, scientists, startups, innovators, and interested members of the public to explore the quantum ecosystem, innovation landscape, and industry potential in the Upper Rhine region. The event will feature introductory talks on quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum communication; a session on education and training opportunities in quantum skills for industry; a panel discussion on strengthening the quantum ecosystem; startup and company pitches; an industry exhibition; lab visits; and an apéro and networking reception.
Registration is free of charge.
