  52nd conference in a series that was started in Cambridge in 1975 and whic
 h was held most recently in Turin (2021), Leuven (2022), Berlin (2023),  Mo
 ntpellier (2024) and Southampton (2025).\n\nIn September 2026, MNE will tak
 e place in Interlaken, Switzerland – an idyllic lakeside town nestled betwe
 en the lakes of Thun and Brienz and framed by the majestic snow-capped peak
 s of the infamous Bernese Alps. It is estimated that the conference will at
 tract 600-700 participants.
