VAULTED brings circular flooring system abroad
26.09.2025The Rippmann Floor System by VAULTED, a digitally prefabricated concrete funicular floor designed to work primarily in compression, has continued to gain popularity. The startup has secured further large commercial contracts in the UK, Belgium and Switzerland to deploy its solution.

VAULTED has developed proprietary fabrication systems and software to design and produce the Rippmann Floor System® (RFS) – a prefabricated funicular concrete floor that drastically reduces material consumption. Compared to conventional slabs, RFS uses up to two thirds less concrete and one tenth of the steel, while ensuring full functionality and long-term durability. The system follows principles of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) and Design for Deconstruction (DfD).
In just two and a half years since its founding, the Zurich-based startup has grown to a team of nine and continues to attract attention from construction companies and clients worldwide. Today, it has clients in Switzerland, Belgium, and the UK and is delivering its circular RFS solutions to private and public developers. Beyond the RFS, VAULTED provides structural engineering and digital fabrication consultancy—such as 3D concrete printing—and is currently engaged in around ten additional projects, across office, parking, hospitality, and residential sectors.
In London, VAULTED is contributing to the renovation of 33 Cavendish Square, a landmark building in Marylebone in the West End. As part of the podium’s demolition and reconstruction, the startup will install its RFS technology, covering more than 17,000 square meters of new construction. In Belgium, VAULTED is working on a mix-use production-office building to be completed next year. This building features the RFS-S version from the company’s product line with spans over 11 meters.
Meanwhile, customer interest is growing in France, Germany, and the Netherlands, which VAULTED plans to gradually include in its European expansion strategy.
“Our mission is simple: impact at scale,” says co-founder Francesco Ranaudo. “We want to transform the way we design, fabricate, and build for sustainable growth. Our immediate roadmap focuses on launching our digital design tools and expanding partnerships in manufacturing to accelerate market adoption and scale delivery across key European markets.”
